Mafuyu Asahina is a character I heavily relate to. I have a lot of merch of her, including two nuis, a cosplay, sticker, and more in the future. She is my comfort character and I love her so dearly, Ive collected many of her cards before including all her birthday cards. Her mother acts exactly like mine, identical even, and its why me and Mafu conenct so well. I headcanon Mafuyu has BPD just like me, as she shows many BPD symptoms in my eyes.
Twin of Konomi and older sister to Taichi. A very loving and caring teenager, but is mentally unstable. This is why she goes by Menhera-chan. Menhera (メンヘラ) meaning "people who have mental problems." She has no bad intent meant in her actions but will go to extremes at times in an attempt to get what she wants. People often see her as a cute popular girl at school but those close to her, like her brother, are quick to point out that there is more to her. She likes baths and music.
Ive always seen Menherachan, or Kurumi Nanase, a lot since I was a child. She was deemed queen of 'discord' so I already knew what her fans were like. Never would I ever think that she is a menhera, and shows intense symptoms of BPD. I found out about her through a tiktok slideshow explaining who she was and further did my research, heavily relating to the lovely girl. She is extremely like me, like, IDENTICAL.

Fluttershy is a anxiety ridden shy pony who is so adorable and relatable. Her love for animals is very much like me, as I adore animals. I love animals of all types and I want to hug every animal on the planet. I think theyre just so lovely, my favorite animals are tarantulas, cats, bunnies, and dogs!

Rena is so me, her name is one of my preferred names! I find weird things cute just like her, and i just love love love cute things! Cute things like tarantulas, iguanas, cute babies, i like all type of cute!!!! I also believe that if I was in a anime like higurashi, i'd def get posessed and carry a hachet everywhere.

Homura Akemi is a girl that is so devoted to her love for Madoka that she turned into something you cant even consider human. Her love is the strongest of anything to exist, and she ended and twisted the world to her liking just to be with her beloved. That is devotion I heavily relate to, her devotion and determination for doing things for those special to her.. that is very relatable.

Menherachan is a vent character. The manga is a vent comic, and its intention isnt to glorify self harm or depression, its intention is to relate to girls who struggle and help them feel not alone. You can honestly view Menherachan/Momoka however you like, but I promise you the intentions of this subculture/manga is not to romantaisze. Now that I got that out of the way...
Shes pink, she struggles with depression and is a menhera-girl, you knew she will be on this list. Menherachan has been a comfort character for me for years. Ever since I saw the documentry I became fascinated with the style culture and the community. Menherachan instagram is one of my favorite places, as it shows Momoka being knocked down again and again, then telling the audience how to get back up and how theres always hope. The message behind Menherachan can be very mixed up, but I promise you, believe me, this girl helps me think I can be normal LOL.

Ame-chan, otherwise known as OMGkawaiiAngel-chan or KAngel, is the main character of NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD. She is an aspiring streamer with the goal of becoming the #1 "Internet Angel".
Theres so much to Ame that I cant put it in a simple box on a website. Ame is very relatable herself, but I tend to relate to K-angel a bit more. Her peppy attitude thats so easy to break on a camera in front of millions just reminds me of my sad, pathetic self. I go to the internet to vent, so does K-angel. The internet listens without getting mad.
"Lacey is a fun loving girl who loves a good adventure! She can be a bit of an airhead sometimes, but she's very determined and had lots of friends! She really likes fashion and to listen to all her favourite songs in her MP3 player!"
Lacey has.. a lot of trauma. You can interpret her character any way you like, but I see her as the embodiment of girl trauma. I think she represents the pain of being a girl and living in this day of age, and the concept of her entire franchise is absoluely genius.

Hitori Gotoh (後ご藤とう ひとり Gotō Hitori), an extremely timid and introverted first-year student in high school often referred by her bandmates as Bocchi-chan (ぼっちちゃん),[2] is the titular main protagonist of the manga and anime series, Bocchi the Rock!. She is in the first year of Shuka High School and is in charge of the guitar and lyrics of the band, Kessoku Band. She aspires to perform in a band that could showcase even a reserved girl's talent, hence she began playing the guitar. Although her skill is the real deal, she struggles to exhibit it proficiently in a band or in front of an audience.
Hitori Gotoh, or as I like to call her Bocchi, is the exact copy of me... her fear of talking to people was extremely like my sophmore year self when I was a shut in and talked to nobody. All I did was work on my talent im good at, drawing. The thing is with Bocchi is that shes slowly improving her social skills. As I watched the anime I realized how possible it is for me to change and open up to others. I took this to my advantage when I switched schools and tried my best to open up, and luckily, it worked. I feel as if me and Bocchis stories are similar, and we are two girls improving as the months pass by.
